About Us . . .
Situated
on
the
picturesque
Timbarra
Plateau
in
Northern
NSW,
here
at
“Gardiners”
we
breed
beef
cattle
and
run
a
herd
of
Angus
&
Angus
Charolais
cross
cows.
Our
aim
is
to
produce
280kg
to
320kg
calves
to
supply
the
Butcher
Shop
Trade.
We
breed
for
type
and
temperament
and take pride in our cattle.
All
the
animals
on
our
property
are
treated
with
great
care
and
respect.
Cattle,
horses
and
dogs
have
always
been
an
essential
part
of
our
everyday
lives
both
at
work
and
at
play.
Our
horses
not
only
work
on
the
property
but
also
compete
in
Campdrafts
and
in
the
past
have
attended
Pony
Club
with
our
two
daughters
who
have
now
grown
up
and
are
starting
families
of their own. Our Kelpies are our workforce and we would be lost without them.
They say a well trained Kelpie can do the work of 10 men, and this is true. (I only wish they
could use a shovel). A good dog will work all day for no pay, no complaints, and no beer .....
so why do I breed Goldens you ask ?
Well
a
girl
has
to
have
a
hobby
and
I
don’t
do
patchwork
or
play
lawn
bowls
and
my
husband
says
I
spoil
the
working
dogs,
so
Golden
Retrievers
have
become
my
special
dogs.
They
are
my
recreation
and
companions,
I
love
to
wind
down
at
the
end
of
the
day
with
a
run
through
the paddocks with my retriever family (I walk ... they run).

GOLDEN RETRIEVERS
Jo is our youngest daugther is a full time accountant, and along with her new husband
Tom has started an 8,000 bird free-range Egg Farm on our property. The Isa Brown
birds have access to the great outdoors during the daylight hours and return to the
shed at night for protection from the weather and predators. Tom, who grew up with
no pets in his life, now has 8,000 birds who just love him. His featherd friends follow
his every move and love the sound of his voice.
Our daughters both live on the property
with their husbands.
Sarah and her hard working husband Brad have three young jackaroos - Jackson,
Riley & Lauchlan. The boys love helping in the cattle yards and mustering the cattle
on their own horses. Sarah also is kept busy running a web based business from home.
